Standard Process Inc. Sponsors National Chiropractic Health Month 2015

Longtime Champion of Chiropractic Continues Support of ACA's Annual Public Awareness Campaign

Arlington, Va. - The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) announced today thatStandard Process Inc. will help to raise public awareness of the benefits of chiropractic services by sponsoring National Chiropractic Health Month 2015 (NCHM) in October.

As a fourth-year sponsor of NCHM, Standard Process, a manufacturer of nutritional whole food supplements, is well known for its philanthropy and dedication to advancing the chiropractic profession.

"Living a pain free life is vital to living a quality life. Doctors of chiropractic have been transforming the lives of patients for decades. We are honored to support National Chiropractic Health Month," said John Nab, DC, director of professional development at Standard Process.

NCHM, ACA's nationwide observance held each October, promotes a healthy lifestyle enhanced by chiropractic's natural, whole-person, patient-centered approach to wellness and pain relief. This year's theme - #PainFreeNation - will bring attention to the public health crisis caused by pain, and in particular the overuse of prescription painkillers, by educating the public about the value of exhausting conservative forms of care for both acute and chronic pain before resorting to higher risk options, such as opioids.

"Standard Process is a perfect partner for ACA in its efforts this year to promote a conservative approach to the opioid epidemic," said ACA President Anthony Hamm, DC. "The company and its products enhance the services that chiropractic physicians provide to their patients. We thank Standard Process for its ongoing contributions to the chiropractic profession."

ACA offers an online toolkit for chiropractic physicians, state chiropractic associations, chiropractic colleges, Student ACA (SACA) chapters and anyone who wishes to participate in NCHM 2015. The toolkit contains information and resources that will help in planning and implementing NCHM activities at local and regional levels.
